Today I ate;

2 small cocktail grapefruits
1 small papaya (-This was the one that was looking wrinkled & weird, but to my surprise, it tasted great!)
Blended veggie soup (-heaps of baby spinach leaves & fresh cilantro, beet roots, celery, etc)
Fresh cucumber noodles w/ alfalfa sprouts, chopped tomato & left over blended veggies on top for sauce

OK, I'm officially over it. I miss my fasting on water only. The simplicity & lightness of it is calling me back. Or at least calling on a lighter diet. I think I want to stick to soft whole fruits & liquids for a while. I know what you are thinking, "But you've only been eating fruits & blended veggies." -I know! :)  But I still feel like I need to lighten things up a bit & pull away from things that take an effort to prepare, (like the blended veggies, even though they are salt/fat free & feel fine in my body). I just miss things being really simple. I'm a bit over food shopping, meal ideas/prep, & the time that it takes. Right now I have a fridge loaded with mixed citrus, Bahri dates, bananas & greens, so I think I'm all set. Plus I have an order or tropical fruits arriving next week. So, I really don't need anything else. I'll just ride this fruit & liquid wave till it's time for something else. I'll keep you posted of course! -Xo.

14 Day Cleanse -Day 10

1.5 liters of water
Watermelon
Hot maca drink (maca, cinnamon & hot water)
Cantaloupe, cantaloupe and more cantaloupe..
Spirulina-cinnamon-banana smoothie
= 2100 total calories for the day
[Today I did make an effort to drink water before eating anything. It really set my day up nicely. The weather today was much 'chillier' than I expected. I had planned on doing a mostly watermelon day. I did eat watermelon for breakfast, but then I felt a little cold, like I wanted something 'cozier'. After that I made a hot maca drink and felt better. Later there was some really tempting Thai food smells wafting around my building. Ohhh wow.. it smelled so good. I wanted to eat something warm after smelling it! I decided to make a spirulina-cinnamon smoothie. It hit the spot. I'm glad I didn't run out t0 a Thai restaurant. -Phew.]

I'm not too happy with my current diet. Too much avocado, coconut oil, spices and salty things. Sometimes the produce I can get easily is not ripe (or not good) so I have been making 'less than great' choices. It's winter in NYC, so I don't have a great selection of fruits to choose from right now. But this week I will move towards more green smoothies, vegetable juices and home-made lemonades. There is no reason why I can't have more liquids in my diet till better weather and better fruit comes along. ~NO EXCUSES!
