Sun & Air: Quick walk to the bank. That's all for the day. :(
Sweat & Fun: See above.
Fruity Meals: Hami melon  / Red cabbage-fennel-spinach-cucumber salad with celery-avocado-lemon dressing / Left-over mixed salad with lots of lettuce from yesterday
Creative Work: Dedicated the day to working on my website.
Brave Move(s): Scheduled a meeting with someone I'm totally afraid to meet with. I also had requests for 3 different people regarding money or better communication, which are scary topics for me.

Today

:)
Get Good Sleep: 8hrs.
Drink Enough Water: I think so.
Take Brisk Shower: I did.
Soak Up Sunshine: 30 minutes of sunbaking.
Breathe Fresh Air: While sunning & walking.
Practice Kundalini Yoga: 33 minutes
Sweat & Have Fun: 30 minutes of core exercises & 30 minutes of dancing.
Pray Before Meals: Forgot again. :) But thought about being really thankful while making my banana smoothie. I was so close!
Experience Everyday Bliss: The vibration I felt from my canvas cotton handbag as a drummer about 50 feet away from me played his congas on the subway. So weird how the vibration travels. Maybe it was because I had an empty glass bottle in my bag? Cotton usually doesn't vibrate. :)  Also, the bond I felt with my older brother as we talked. The excitement I felt from my mom as we discussed plans for later this summer. And the enthusiasm I felt for my plans to work on a drawing today.
Drink/Eat Light Foods: Lemonade / Banana smoothie / Durians
Wear Bright Colors: I wore red head to toe. With funny looking shoes.

Day 97 of 108

Today was fabulous!
Sleep: 9 hours. Woke up really late, but I needed the additional sleep.
Sunshine: Not really. I did walk around town in the sun, but not lots. I would have liked more.
Water: 2 liters, plus more tonight.
Love: I love wild greens! I found a super great vendor at a farmers market that is selling all kinds of green goodies! I'm so excited. She will be seeing me every week now! I will soon be her best customer.
Joy: 90 minute kundalini class, 60 minute personal kriya/mediation practice, a few modified chin-ups/push-ups, & 15 minutes of intense pleasure! My first Zuzana BodyRock video & loved it! I sweated like crazy & it only took fifteen minutes! Wow! I highly recommend it!

Gratitude: For an awesome kundalini class. It had a gong meditation at the end.
Bliss: The feeling I get when I tune in to what I know is true. It's such a relaxing all encompassing feeling.
Juicy-lusciousness: Fresh OJ-banana-lamb's quarter green smoothie, apple-banana-stinging nettle green smoothie, pineapple-banana-stinging nettle green smoothie
I felt so good about all my choices today, especially my food. Felt great to have all liquids. My energy was high & even all day, like a very awake calmness.

Day 1 of 108 ~ Today I ate;

Big salad with lots of veggie-fruits & a super yummy cilantro-avo-basil-jalapeno-tomato dressing

Today was fabulous. Today is day 1 of my 108 days of fruits & leafy greens (the re-start date). Starting again today. Yesterday I had my last dinner eating together with my sister. I told her that  it's be for me to stay away from salt & things that taste yummy, but bloat me. I totally understand that others may digest gourmet raw or salts really well, but I don't. The next morning my face & hands are totally swollen. I's always tasty & fun while I eat it, but the next day (or days) I suffer for it. So being back to the fruity-leafy salt free plan today feels quite good. Feels like home. :)

Today and Yesterday I ate;

Sunday
2 liters of water
Mango
Cantaloupe
Chopped tomatoes on a mixed herb salad
with pine nuts & tomato dressing    <--I went off the program today, I had pine nuts. I did it on purpose. I wasn't hungry or craving fats. I think I got scared that maybe I was detoxing too fast from the fruit. I was feeling really emotional last week, and by the weekend I was getting tired of it. My thinking was, the pine nuts (the fat) would stop the emotions. The only thing it did was made me feel not as good as when I eat fruit. I now think the problem was not eating enough calories (or fruit) three days in a row. Friday & Saturday I was dealing with an upset stomach and didn't eat much. Sunday I was busy and didn't eat until later in the day. If my body was detoxing too fast it wasn't from the fruit, it was from not eating enough. That's my guess. This week I am back to mostly fruit. Let's see what happens...)

Monday
3 liters of water
Mixed berries (blueberries and raspberries)
Banana-berry smoothie
Banana-green smoothie
Whole bananas
= 1950 total calories for the day

Thursday, May 28, 2009

Today I ate;

1 liter of water
Lots of pineapple
Banana-spirulina smoothies
Carrot-celery-tomato puree (<--I put a little cinnamon & ginger in there. I liked it!)
= 1750 total calories for the day

I'm feeling really optimistic about the new food challenge. I thought about it a bit today and I noticed all the foods I chose are 'light' foods. They are also water rich foods. None of them should weigh me down physically or psychically. That is probably why I didn't want to put my (heavy) green salads on the list. Too much in there, not simple enough, not 'light' enough. I think when this is over I will have some 'light' green salads in mind that I'll want to create. I think I just need to break past heavy food habits.

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Today I ate;

1.5 liters of water
Lots of watermelon
Lots of pineapple
Raw lasagna and mixed salad (at LifeThyme)*
Organic coffee with soy milk
= 2310 total calories for the day

[*I ate too much heavy food like avocado, tahini dressing, olives, gourmet raw, etc.. at LifeThyme today. I felt really weighed down and craved coffee after. I gave into the coffee temptation, but didn't feel any better for it. I notice that I crave coffee after I eat complex foods, or the reverse, if I drink coffee I crave complex foods after, they go hand in hand.]
