Day 104 of 108

Sleep: 8 hrs? Not sure.
Sunshine: Lots of sun today. I spent several hours outside.
Love: I love my brother. :) So happy to have him in my life.
Joy: I did my kriyas & mediation sessions, plus a 2 hour kundalini class. By far my best class ever. It was fantastic!
Gratitude: Grateful I had food (fruit) waiting at home for me after kundalini class.
Bliss: The feeling I had during some of the kriyas in class were so good. Like a lightness, a bliss, a centeredness, a peace, …felt like I was being "carried" a few times. I would just surrender to the exercise, but be fully engaged & aware. Momentum, focus & rhythm definitely help with endurance. When something got hard, or difficult, I would just tune-in & tune-out at the same time. I found myself "being moved", vs. me trying to move myself. Life is the same for me. If I push to make things happen, they never feel right. If I completely "let go" & humbly participate with full awareness, they always turn out great & feel great at the same time.

Day 103 of 108

Sleep: 8 hrs
Sunshine: Lots of sun today. I spent several hours reading, meditating & having fun in its warm rays. Bliss.
Love: I love the color turquoise. Especially next to white or other metals like gold & silver.
Joy: I did do my kriyas & mediation sessions, plus about 30 minutes of various exercises in 3 minutes intervals till I worked up a sweat. An "all-over" sweat good enough to create little puddles beneath me as I exercised, plus drip off the tip of my chin or nose. Yay!
Gratitude: Grateful for exercise & how good it makes me feel.
Bliss: The feeling that the world is getting smaller & smaller. I talk to people online that live all over the world. Things are getting more amazing everyday.

Sleep: 5.5 hrs
Sunshine: Ate lunch in the park & sunbathed for 75 minutes.
Love: I love a good durian, most of Philip Glass' music, Chinatown's vibe & life in general.
Joy: Felt like I needed to just rest today. But I did do my walking, kriyas & mediation sessions.
Gratitude: Grateful for having an abundance of everything. Especially love.
Bliss: I love surprises. Today I was in pure delight. Buying durian is always a gamble. At the market I picked the littlest durian they had. I was excited & curious as I opened it. Wow, it tasted, felt & smelled like the softest-sweetest-richest durian I had ever tasted. That little sweet fruit gave me so much. I was so grateful I planted its seeds to say thanks.

Day 101 of 108

New melon for me. I liked it.

Sleep: I'm not sure. Forgot to look at the clock. Maybe 8 hrs? I feel well rested.
Sunshine: About 45mins of cloudy sun while reading.
Love: Love my life. :) Xo.
Joy: Kundalini Yoga for about 45 minutes & a sweaty-stength routine for 35 minutes.
I had fun! I did the cario-strength routine to a super monotonous kundalini CD. The lady on the CD repeats a one word mantra (fast!) for 11 minutes, over & over & over again. Doing my routine to the mantra felt like I was doing kundalini yoga & sweatin' up a storm! Loved it!
Gratitude: For an abundance of melons at the store & the abundance of melanin in my skin! Yay!
Bliss: Walking through a flurry of flying seeds! What a gift! It felt like I was walking through soft & fuzzy snow flurries. :) Fun.
Juicy-lusciousness: Blended frozen bananas / Golden Dew melon / Honey Dew melon / Santa Claus melon / Cantaloupe smoothie

Day 100 of 108

Great food day. My best food days are always mostly juicy fruits or all liquids, in abundance, all day. :) It's my recipe for a successful happy day.
Sleep: About 5 hours, did my kriya & mediation, then slept another 3-4 hours
Sunshine: It was cloudy out.
Water: 2 liters
Love: I love reading (non-fiction) books. I could definitely make a career out of it.
Me getting paid to sit in cafes or to lie in bed & read. *sigh* Would be lovely.
Joy: 75 minutes of mixed yoga & 45 minutes of mediation/kriya
Gratitude: Grateful for the color orange. The color of my juicy oranges & mango flesh fed my eyes & my soul. I loved every minute (& every bite!).
Bliss: The wind blowing on me.
This morning it blew sweetly on my face, this afternoon it blew my baggy harem pants in a fun way & then this evening it blew a cool breeze on my right arm.

The strawberries I ate today were from someone's back yard! Yay! ;)
Sleep: About 9 hours (I think the running & the kundalini class yesterday had me beat! I was tired.)
Sunshine: Sunny & hot day today.
Water: 3 liters
Love: I love Pandora. Coolest ever!
Joy: 90 minute kundalini class, 60 minute personal kriya/mediation practice, lots of walking & jumping rope.
Gratitude: So grateful that the laundry mat saved my stuff. I left a quarter of my laundry there & remembered a day later!
Bliss: Feeling someones pride. Someone made something just for me. I could feel how proud they were of their work. The enthusiasm they had in the accomplishment was magnetic & uplifting. :) I felt fulfilled because they felt fulfilled.

Sunshine: About 2 hours of direct sunshine.
Water: 1.5 liters, but will drink more
Love: Felt sad for a bird that fell from a his mother's nest. Looked as though it happened shortly before I walked by. ~ I send the baby bird my love, & the mother too.
Joy: 90 minute kundalini class, 60 minute personal kriya/mediation practice, & stair repeats (3 Sets X 10)
Gratitude: Grateful for opportunities that come my way, grateful for people that love me unconditionally, grateful for my life & its lessons. I'm learning.
Bliss: Seeing seeds fly while sitting on a rooftop. Best feeling ever. :)
Yesterday one even flew into my apartment & I tried to put it in with one of my plants. Maybe it will grow.
Juicy-lusciousness: Fresh OJ / Apple-banana-lamb's quarter green smoothie / Apple-pineapple-stinging nettle green smoothie / Raw soup (corn, avocado, tomato, carrot) / Shredded carrot & avocado mash

Today didn't feel so juicy & definitely not as good as yesterday. I've been feeling good on my low fat days, so I don't want "extreme avocado" (past tendencies) to start creeping in. So I will be aware. Plus, root veggies aren't on my 108 day food plan, but I've given in to them lately when I crave them. The mashed carrot & avocado was really good. I liked it. :) I'll keep it as a "sometime" treat. The soup I made today I will never make again. I didn't like it. -Oh well.

Day 97 of 108

Today was fabulous!
Sleep: 9 hours. Woke up really late, but I needed the additional sleep.
Sunshine: Not really. I did walk around town in the sun, but not lots. I would have liked more.
Water: 2 liters, plus more tonight.
Love: I love wild greens! I found a super great vendor at a farmers market that is selling all kinds of green goodies! I'm so excited. She will be seeing me every week now! I will soon be her best customer.
Joy: 90 minute kundalini class, 60 minute personal kriya/mediation practice, a few modified chin-ups/push-ups, & 15 minutes of intense pleasure! My first Zuzana BodyRock video & loved it! I sweated like crazy & it only took fifteen minutes! Wow! I highly recommend it!

Gratitude: For an awesome kundalini class. It had a gong meditation at the end.
Bliss: The feeling I get when I tune in to what I know is true. It's such a relaxing all encompassing feeling.
Juicy-lusciousness: Fresh OJ-banana-lamb's quarter green smoothie, apple-banana-stinging nettle green smoothie, pineapple-banana-stinging nettle green smoothie
I felt so good about all my choices today, especially my food. Felt great to have all liquids. My energy was high & even all day, like a very awake calmness.

Sleep: 3.5 hours (I wasn't sleepy last night! Then I had an early appointment this morning.)
Sunshine: Spent most of the day outside walking.
Water: 2.5 liter (Plus more tonight.)
Love: I love friendly & helpful people. The make such a difference.
Joy: Another intense core workout today in kundalini class. I love how every class is completely different. My core muscles were worked for most of the class, but the class was totally different from yesterday. (I'm still doing my own kriya/mediation in the morning. I started to do another one, different one in the evening too! So now it's 3 kundalini practices a day!)
Gratitude: Grateful my mom found something that she thought she had lost.
Bliss: Falling asleep at the need of yoga class for a few powerful minutes. I was completely relaxed. ;)
Juiciness: Orange juice, orange wedges, grapefruit juice, grapefruit wedges, & some super ripe bananas.

Sleep: 8.5 hours
Sunshine: Spent almost all day outside & hung-out in 2 different NYC parks. Fun. :)
Water: 1 liter (I will drink more tonight. I need to!)
Love: I love New York City. Xo!
Joy: Super intense core workout today in kundalini class. I needed it!
Feelings: Feeling like I want to fast. Summer solstice is coming soon, so it might be the perfect time. A little "cleaning house" before summer starts.
Gratitude: Grateful for the white clothes I found today. I want to start wearing white. Lots of it! Especially to yoga class. Hoping all this white will reflect light & brighten my life. The brighter the better! :) I want to live light!
Bliss: Looking at balloons ever so gently move. I was watching them while in savasana at the end of yoga class today. It was such a relaxing & blissful experience. They were tied to the ceiling for a kundalini teacher's graduation party that was happening.
Juiciness: 11 small mangoes, & 2 durians :) Xx..

Sunshine: Took a nap in the sun.
Water: Only 1 liter :( -need more
Love: Mangosteen & grapefruit taste great eaten in the same meal. I ate them for lunch while listening to spiritual music. I loved the whole experience!
Gratitude: My life of abundance. Eating tropical fruits, having access to unlimited books, living in a beautiful home, what more could I ask for?
Joy: Instead of exercising I decided to rest. I woke up really tired this morning which is rare for me. I decided that it was a signal to pull back a bit & be easy today.
Bliss: Experiencing the uniqueness & sameness of all beings. Fruits, plants, animals, people, etc.
Juiciness: Fresh OJ / Papaya / Cucumber-pepper-young coco-cilantro stew / Fresh corn / Bananas
Yesterday's Juiciness: Grapefruits, 3 BIG cherimoyas(!), Bag of mangosteen, & 2 Durians(!)

Day 91 & 92 of 108

So much happening. Some good, some not so good.
On saturday I accidentally left a small pouch on a subway platform. I didn't realize this until I was about 20 blocks away (2 train stations). When I returned, the pouch was gone. :(
Inside was my house keys, credit cards, cash money, train pass, drivers license, bank machine card, mobile phone, etc. That would pretty much mean EVERYTHING!!!!! This meant I had no money to get home, no money to eat, & no keys to get in my apartment. AND! to top it off, ... I was soaking wet from dancing for 3+ hours in a dance workshop. So here I am; wet, broke, hungry & homeless! All phone numbers were in my phone. (-About 5 years worth, so I lost that too.) So....I didn't have a lot of options at that point. Anyway.... I eventually got in my apartment, canceled cards, ...friends & strangers came to my rescue etc, life is beautiful. -BUT! I later found out that the person who found my pouch decided to shop with my cards & make calls with my phone. That was not good news & a bit disappointing to say the least. It has taken me several days to put my life (my stuff & my financial situation) back together. I still have no phone, & I just got a new bank card today. Things are slowly returning to back to normal. I'm grateful. :)
Yesterday's food choices were terrible with a capital T! Total disaster. No comment! 
Today on the other hand, :) ...was pure bliss. Pure exotic fruity bliss! I had the following;
Fresh OJ
Little mangoes
Cherimoya!
Durian!
Fresh corn
Tomato-avo-red bell pepper salad

Sleep: 7.5 hours
Sunshine: 2 hours of morning sun sketching in my journal.
Water: 3 liters
Love: Loving how life unfolds. The mysterious process of random(?) perfection.
Gratitude: Highest thanks for breath. If I need to connect with my spirit, my authentic self, I can always do it through my breath. It's effortless.
Bliss: Sensations. The cold metal of the subway train against my bare arm. The sound of live drums felt in my heart & through my feet. The vibration I feel in my body when my body is energized, activated, & ready for what's next.
Joy: 3 hours of dance in the afternoon, & a super-duper mantra, bhajan, kriya, mediation session this morning.
Feelings: Open. I feel open. Open to whatever comes next. -And sleepy. Long day!

Sleep: Slept 6 hours (woke up w/o an alarm clock, meditated & did kriya), then slept for another 2hrs.
Sunshine: Early morning sun bathing, till it got too windy.
Water: 4 liters
Love: I love dancing. I really really really love dancing.
Gratitude: Give thanks for community & the feeling of working together!
Bliss: Being swept off my feet by music that moves me. Bliss. Pure bliss.
Joy: 3.5 straight hours of dancing(!), plus the mediation, mantras & kriya I did this morning.
Juiciness: Lots of whole Halawy dates / Young coco water blended with dates / Young coco water (plain) / Young coco-date pudding / Cucumber noodles & mixed spring lettuces with green sauce on top (Sauce ingredients: spinach, young coconut, dates, hab pepper, arugula & tomatoes)
Feelings: I'm content. Feeling really whole today. Like everything is exactly how it is supposed to be.

Sunshine: Sat in courtyard for 2 hours & sunbaked for 1 hour
Water: Maybe 3 liters?
Love: Have I said how much I love the internet?! Well I love it a lot! Not more than fruit, but it's up there.
Gratitude: Grateful for the internet. How amazing is it?! I can't get over it! Wow.
Bliss: I feel like looking at bright colors feeds my eyes & my soul. The flower petal colors I see seem so vibrant & alive. Like a vibration I can take in and feed off of.
Joy: Haven't done it yet, but have plans to do 30-60 minutes of exercise (yoga session) tonight plus an evening mediation, mantra & kriya practice.

Sunshine: Yes! Exercised & laid out in the sun. (-With no watch or clock.)
Water: About 3.5 liters
Love: I love things that are free. ;) Like the warmth from the sun, the wind, & laughter.
Gratitude: Glad my mom could help my aunt who had a seizure at work. 
Bliss: I love that "still" feeling in the morning. When things aren't quiet rolling yet. But energy is beginning to stir & start the day.
Joy: Stair repeats (3 sets x 10), 45min+ of walking, plus the mediation & kriya I did this morning.
Juiciness: Fresh OJ / Grapefruits / Pineapple-date smoothie / Super saucy fuchsia cucumber noodles with mixed lettuces & chopped tomatoes  (Sauce ingredients: beet, dates, hab pepper & tomatoes)
Feelings: I feel so good on this diet, so good in this lifestyle. Pure bliss, really & truly. The world has opened up, my heart has opened up, my spirit can finally breathe. All because I have less obstructions on a daily basis. Less slow moving foods, less toxins, less "stuck" thoughts, less laziness, less hoarding & worrying. Things have become more fluid, more energized, more free, more light. Little by little things are changing for the better & it feels wonderful.

Sleep: Slept about 8 hours
Sunshine: Cloudy, cold & rainy.
Water: About 3 liters
Love: How is feels when it rains. Everything gets quiet.
Gratitude: I'm so grateful for this fruity lifestyle. It makes me really happy. It also has made me feel more connected to people, plants, & myself (on all levels).
Bliss: The feeling I get when I'm in "the zone" is indescribable. I reach this state easily in dance, artwork & mediation. I hope to be in this state all the time one day. Each year I get to experience it more and more. It's like a banana when it gets ripe. It gets little spots one by one. Eventually it gets so many spots that they connect & the whole banana turns brown. That's how I want "the zone" to be for me. More & more until it is everywhere & it becomes me! :)
Joy: 30+ minutes of yoga asanas & the 5 rites, plus the pranayama, mediation & kriya I did this morning.
Juiciness: Grapefruits / Pear-banana-date pudding (-twice) / Cucumber noodles & mixed lettuces with carrot-arugula sauce on top (-twice)
Feelings: Feeling really happy. But feeling like I miss the warm sun & want it to come back. -Soon.

TODAY-
Sleep: Slept about 7.5 hours
Sunshine: Too cold! Brrrr…
Water: About 3 liters or maybe more..
Love: Love-love waking up with no alarm clock & having no morning appointments, Love-love Halawy dates & the Bautista Family Date Ranch (-Thank you to my friend WL who told me about them.)
Gratitude: No Impact Man (I'm grateful for this movie.)

Bliss: Turning the corner while walking & getting a BIG gust of fresh air. I took a deep breath. It felt fantastic!
Joy: 30 minute combo of jumping rope, modified push-ups & ab work, plus the mediation, pranayama & kriya I did this morning.
Juiciness: Fresh OJ / Grapefruits / Banana-date smoothies / Cucumber noodles & mixed lettuces with my purple sauce on top
Feelings: Feeling really relaxed & calm today. I think it's from the mediation. Things are changing. For the better! I'm getting calmer, more relaxed & more easy going. This is good news. ;)

Yesterday's day was pretty much the same. The food was exactly the same. I loved every sip, every bite! I want to eat the same thing again tomorrow!!!

TODAY-
Sleep: Slept about 8 hours
Sun: Just the sunlight on my walk.
Water: about 2L at the moment.
Love: Loving the I LOVE YOU morning mediation. Feels better & better each time I do it. Today my practice felt really strong.
Gratitude: Thankful for the universe's support. There is so much I am given. It's infinite! It's way beyond food. I can't even wrap my head around the abundance in my life. Blessings galore. :) Pretty awesome.
Fun: A walk through town carrying a big load, plus the mediation, pranayama & kriya I did this morning.
Fuel: A big green coco-date smoothie / cucumber noodles & mixed lettuces with my purple sauce on top. (-I had 2 big bowls of it, twice. So good!) (Purple sauce ingredients- blended dates, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, green coconut, baby spinach, habanero pepper, beet)
Feelings: Feeling really lucky today. I really shouldn't have any complaints ever. Most of us live such a life of extreme abundance. We really do have everything we need & much-much more. We are lucky. We are even luckier if we see it this way.

TODAY-
Sleep: Slept 6 hours
Sun: Only what I received while walking around.
Water: Hmmm? I'm not sure. Maybe close to 3L by the end of the day?
Love: Love learning new things about people that I know. Found out a new friend has fasted on every full moon for the last 10 years. -Wow! Amazing & inspiring. I might give that a go. I really enjoy fasting on water. Making it a regular part of my life would be great. I'll have to give the full moon fast a go & see if I like it. If I do, it may be my new thing for the next 10 years too! :) Who knows!
Gratitude: Grateful for all the blessings that I have. I'm ashamed sometimes of how much "stuff" I have. I really have to go on another purging phase. It's been a while. I think it's time. Plus, it feels so good to donate things to charity. A much better feeling than keeping things that aren't loved or aren't being used regularly. Having anything "hang-around" makes me feel bad.
Fun: burpees, seated tucks, up/down dogs, jump hindu squats- 20 X 3 of each & running in place after each one, plus the mediation & kriya I did this morning.
Fuel: banana-date smoothie / pear-banana-date smoothie / chopped red leaf lettuce & cucumber noodles, with blended baby spinach-tomato-date-basil sauce on top / chopped red leaf lettuce & cucumber noodles, with blended tomato-date-green coco-basil-pepper sauce on top
Feelings: I feel quiet today. Today was super windy. Maybe I just wanted to hear it speak all day. Not sure. Just felt like hiding in the background of my day & letting everything else have the spot light.

Side note: As you can see I gave up on my "30 days - 3 foods" idea. I think the idea was good, but I think I chose the wrong foods for me. I would have been happier with juicy fruits. Dates & bananas are too similar to me. Both very sweet & dense. (And cheap bought in bulk!) I missed cucumbers so much. Tomatoes too. Citrus as well. I just ordered a bunch of grapefruits & oranges. So I'm all set on juicy fruits for the next few weeks. I must say though, I'm disappointed to be back to expensive groceries. 3 organic cucumbers cost $7 dollars. No fun. Takes the joy out of buying as many as I like. Today I bought 4 or 5 huge cucumbers & ate them all in one day. Oh well.

YESTERDAY-
Sleep: Slept 8 solid hours
Sun: about 30 minutes
Water: over 3 liters by the end of today
Love: Loving myself in little ways today. Did the things that I like & felt inspired to do.
Gratitude: For running water! Amazing. I always take it for granted.
Fun: Stair repeats (3 sets X 10), I also did my kriya & mediation this morning. :)
Fuel: sweet ginger-date soak water / orange-tomato blend soup / orange-banana-date smoothie / banana-date smoothie / baby spinach & cucumbers eaten as is -plain.
Feelings: I feel like I want to focus on spirit & let the physical take care of itself. Live a incorporeal focused existence. It makes more sense to me. I definitely experience more peace, bliss, strength & love when I base my choices on what is real. That which is unchanging & infinite. Putting all of my thoughts & energy in matter feels really foolish at times. There is only so far one can go with that type of thinking. But the possibilities are infinite in the realm of energy. :) Energy is like magic! I want my life to feel magical all the time. It's totally up to me & I know this.

TODAY-
Sleep: Slept 7 hours
Sun: About an hour while having my french lesson in a courtyard.
Water: Easily over 3 liters.
Love: Really loving learning french. Oo la la, it's so much fun. ;)
Gratitude: Feeling grateful for the sun's warm rays & for my friend that works at the Mac Store who is helping me with my laptop. (It cracked! On the keyboard face were my right palm rests. -I Obviously use it way to much! No, :) I think it's a design flaw. -But I do use it too much.)
Fun: Modified push-ups & chin-ups, core exercises, stair climbing & hopping, plus the mediation & kriya I did this morning.
Fuel: orange-banana-date smoothie / spinach-banana-date smoothie / chopped cucumber, baby spinach & tomato salad with blended date-tomato-basil sauce on top (-This dressing was excellent!)
Feelings: Caught myself today dwelling on a few "matter" things that do not matter! It felt SO GOOD to catch myself & move on to better a feeling or thought. Quiet freeing! Felt great.

YESTERDAY-
Sleep: slept 4hrs, (did my kriya), then slept another 4hrs

Love: I love jumping rope!
Gratitude: I am so grateful that I have friends that hold me to a higher standard. Without them I don't know where I would be. But I do know that my life wouldn't be as great as it feels now. I really love my life & I know it is because I am connected to those around me in a close way. Community is so important! :)
Fun: I worked on my core for about 10 minutes, & jumped rope for about 30 minutes. I went forward & backwards, switching between a weighted rope (-little less than a 1 pound, but makes a huge difference!) & a light weight rope. I also did my kriya this morning.

Fuel: banana-pineapple-date smoothie, lots of whole dates, big red leaf lettuce & cucumber salad with beet-sage-tomato dressing, and for dinner a big bowl of plain arugula with an avocado. Just eaten by hand.
Feelings: Feeling like feelings are all we are after. I was thinking about what I really want out of my life & what makes me happy earlier today. When I got down to the bottom of it & wrote it all down, they were just feelings. I am so clear that if we focus on the feeling we want (vs the tangible thing), things become effortless & we get what we desire. We also have a great time along the way because we are feeling what we desire as we are creating it. I do believe our feelings are our most powerful tools.

TODAY-
Sleep: Slept 8.5hrs
Sun: 40 minutes of sunbakin'
Water: Lost count, but it's about 3 liters
Love: Loving the wind. Nothing better than a cool spring breeze brushing across my cheek.
Gratitude: Grateful for a cool video my sister shared with me about a Brooklyn soap crew!

Fun: Practiced yoga at home for about an hour. I also did my kriya this morning.
Fuel: Big Halawy date & green coconut smoothie, some dates whole, big bowl of cucumber noodles smothered in arugula-spinach sauce, with lots of shredded red leaf lettuce on top. -Green city!
Feelings: Feel so happy to be eating this diet. It has changed my life for the better on every level. Spiritually, mentally & physically. It's an amazing feeling.

Day 76 of 108 -I'm Back!


Sleep: slept 6 hours, (did my morning kriya), then slept another 1.5ish hours
Sun: no, sorry to say
Water: about 3 liters
Fuel: banana-celery-date smoothie, banana-spinach-date smoothie (-really good!), lots of dates, big red leaf lettuce & cucumber salad with carrot-avo-tomato dressing
Fun: MBG exercises for over an hour. Mostly on the Jungle Gym and on the wooden floor in my artstudio. I tried the something called the Power Wheel too.  It looks easy, -but it's not. Wow, really tough. It's fun though, but definitely not easy. There are lots of ways to use it. I tried only two ways; walking with hands & reaching forward on knees. Both were very hard for me. Humbling to say the least. Something to work up to. My goal is to keep going with the MBG exercise routines till I can walk on my hands. :) I'm aiming for at least 30 minutes of them 6 days a week.



I also did my kriya this morning. I did complete the last one. I did 40 days straight of Gurmukh's "Liberation" kriya. This time I am working on her "I Love You Meditation". I will be doing it for 1 year! I asked her if this is OK since stopping at 40 days is the recommended practice. She told me go ahead, do it for as long as you like. So here goes nothing! Today is day 5 of it. Many more to go...
